Summary: | id Software's Quake allows multiple Quake clients to connect to a network for playing multi-user Quake games. Historically, attackers have targeted Quake servers in attempts to exploit numerous Quake server security vulnerabilities.
The Quake server employs a feature that allows remote administrators to send commands to the Quake console with a password. It is possible for an attacker to bypass the authentication and execute commands or even remotely compromise administrator access on the Quake server. | ||||||
