Vulnerability Name:

CCN-107774

Published:2015-11-02
Updated:2015-11-02
Summary:Python is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the pack_string function. By sending an overly long string argument to the Profile.addinfo method, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
