Summary:Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Excel for Macintosh store ODBC passwords and usernames in plain text in the body of a document, when a query is executed over an ODBC connection to import data into the Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word document. A remote or local attacker with access to a document containing imported data could use this information to gain unauthorized access to the database.
