Summary: | Browser Helper Object (BHO) is a type of Dynamic Link Library (DLL) that is used to attach third-party software add-ons to running processes of Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 4 and later. These add-ons have access to all of Internet Explorer's objects and events and can be used by a remote attacker in control of a malicious Web server to obtain sensitive information, including user passwords and credit card numbers, and to possibly execute malicious code on the victim's computer. | ||||||
