Vulnerability Name:

CCN-116553

Published:2016-08-19

Summary:Microsoft Windows could allow a local attacker to gain elevated privileges on the system, caused by improper interaction between HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (HKCR) and HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HKCU) registry hives. By modifying values to create HKCU:\Software\Classes, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to bypass UAC protection with Fileless to gain privileges.
