Summary: | Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, Advanced Server, Datacenter Server, and Professional are vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow in the Microsoft Message Queuing Service (mqsvc.exe), caused by improper bounds checking. By sending a specially-crafted MQLocateBegin packet that supplies a long string to the pRestriction variable, a remote authenticated attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system. | ||||||
