Summary:Sun Solaris could deny legitimate users access to their Network Information Service (NIS) account. If the password of the NIS client begins with a plus or minus sign (+, -) and the password entry for nsswitch.conf is 'passwd: compat', a user attempting to login may be denied access to the NIS account.
