Summary:Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 exhibits a connection-reuse problem that uses persistent connections, even when they have been disabled or explicitly closed by a Web server. This behavior ignores HTTP/1.0 standards, preferring instead to behave in the HTTP/1.1 style, even when HTTP/1.1 capability is specifically disabled in the Web browser.
