Summary: | Microsoft Windows Server is vulnerable to a denial of service attack caused by a vulnerability in the Server Message Block (SMB) redirector. The SMB redirector fails to properly process a browser announcement frame and attempts to run code that is paged out at the IRQ level. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by retrieving a large file from within a network share once the system is under heavy load to cause the system to crash. | ||||||
