Updated: | 1999-08-05 |
Summary: | The TCP Multiplexer service, tcpmux, allows remote users to connect to a system on TCP port 1, and request a through connection to any other TCP service available from that computer. This means port number based filtering rules on firewall systems intended to deny access to particular services may be inadvertently subverted if the tcpmux service is available. |
