Summary: | The default version of inetd daemon distributed with the Data General DG/UX operating system is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. An attacker can perform an nmap scan, using the OS detection option, to cause the inetd daemon to enter a state in which it cannot spawn new services. The inetd service must then be restarted to regain functionality. | ||||||
