Summary:The printer sharing feature in Windows 95/98 could allow remote attackers to obtain DLL and software version information from a user's computer. The printer sharing feature creates the read share printer$ in C:\Windows\system. This share is not password protected, and it can be accessed by anyone on the network to gain information that would be useful in an attack.
