Vulnerability Name:

CCN-4603

Published:2000-06-06
Updated:2000-06-06
Summary:The AutoShareServer registry key is enabled. When enabled, Windows NT creates the administrative shares (C$, D$, ADMIN$) for the physical drives. This setting is enabled by default in Windows NT and Windows 2000. However, strong security practices require that this be disabled, especially on production Web servers and other high-profile systems.
