Vulnerability Name:

CCN-49361

Published:2009-03-23
Updated:2009-03-23
Summary:FreeBSD is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper bounds checking by the kenv(2) system call. By allocating an overly large amount of memory, a local attacker could dump kernel environment variables and cause a kernel panic.
