Vulnerability Name:

CCN-58321

Published:2010-04-19
Updated:2010-04-19
Summary:NetBSD could provide weaker than expected security. An error in the x86 CPU features detection code disables the NX bit under amd64 and allows for the incorrect marking of certain pages of memory as executable. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to possibly execute arbitrary code on the system.
