Vulnerability Name:

CCN-59075

Published:2010-05-31
Updated:2010-05-31
Summary:PHP is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the php_mysqlnd_auth_write() function when handling an overly long username or database name. By sending a specially-crafted packet, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
