Summary:HP9000 Series 700 and 800 workstations and servers, when running on HP-UX, are vulnerable to a denial of service, due to a vulnerability in the man command. The man command is used to display help files on particular commands for Unix and Linux operating systems. In the vulnerable HP-UX versions listed, man creates unnecessary temporary files that could lead to a denial of service.
