Vulnerability Name:

CCN-61486

Published:2010-08-30
Updated:2010-08-30
Summary:Novell Netware is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the SSHD.NLM and SFTP-SVR.NLM modules. By sending an overly long absolute path string specified in SFTP or SCP sessions, a remote authenticated attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
