Vulnerability Name:

CCN-6946

Published:2001-08-03
Updated:2001-08-03
Summary:PHP-Nuke is vulnerable to a remote denial of service attack, caused by a vulnerability in the modules.php script. A remote attacker can send a specially-crafted URL request to the modules.php script appended with "dot dot" sequences (/../) and "modules" as an argument to the requested URL parameter, to consume all available memory resources, which causes the service to become unresponsive.
