Summary: | Microsoft Windows NT, 2000, and XP are vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by a vulnerability in the CSRSS.EXE service (Windows NT Client Server Run-time Subsystem). A local attacker can execute a program from the command prompt that outputs a string containing special whitespace characters to standard output and cause the system to crash. The system must be restarted to regain normal functionality. | ||||||
