Summary: | ELinks could allow a remote attacker to bypass restrictions, caused by the failure to warn the user if the hostname of a SSL certificate matches the hostname of the website. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web site containing a malicious certificate, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability using man-in-the-middle to launch further attacks on the system. | ||||||
