Assigned:2002-07-17
Published:2002-07-17
Updated:2016-10-18
Summary:Jigsaw 2.2.1 on Windows systems allows remote attackers to use MS-DOS device names in HTTP requests to (1) cause a denial of service using the "con" device, or (2) obtain the physical path of the server using two requests to the "aux" device.

    CVE-2002-1052 (CCN-9587)

    Assigned:2002-07-17
    Published:2002-07-17
    Updated:2002-07-17
Summary:Jigsaw is vulnerable to a denial of service attack caused by improper handling of requests for DOS device names. If a remote attacker sends multiple requests for a DOS device, the attacker could cause the Web server to consume all available server resources. The server must be restarted to regain normal functionality.
