Vulnerability Name:

CVE-2022-23092 (CCN-233278)

Assigned:2022-08-09
Published:2022-08-09
Updated:2022-08-09
Summary:FreeBSD is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the lib9p component. By sending a specially-crafted RWALK message, a remote attacker could overwrite memory in the bhyve(8) process and execute arbitrary code in the context of the Capsicum sandbox on the system.
